Funding Your Crypto Visa Card: BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, USDT and More

Stablecoins aren't the only way to fund a crypto card -- CasperCard also accepts BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL and XMR directly, alongside USDT and USDC. Here's how topping up with each actually works, and when to pick one over another. ## Stablecoins: predictable, no price risk between sending and spending USDT and USDC are both pegged to the US dollar, so $100 sent is close to $100 received, regardless of market movement in the minutes it takes to confirm. For most day-to-day spending, this predictability is exactly what you want. ## Major coins: spend straight from your existing holdings If your savings are already in BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, or XMR, you don't need to convert to a stablecoin somewhere else first. Send directly to your CasperCard top-up address, and the balance is converted and ready to spend once confirmed -- one step instead of two. ## The one thing that matters more than the coin: the network Whichever coin you send, check the network your CasperCard address expects before sending. Sending on the wrong network -- for example a Tron-network transfer to an Ethereum address -- is one of the most common, and avoidable, mistakes in crypto, and it's worth double-checking every single time, not just the first. ## Does price movement between sending and spending matter? For a non-stablecoin top-up, your balance reflects the coin's value at the time the top-up confirms. If you're topping up right before a purchase, this is rarely an issue; if you're planning to hold a top-up balance for a while, a stablecoin removes that variable entirely. ## Pick based on what you're already holding There's no wrong choice here -- it's about convenience. Already holding ETH for other reasons? Send it directly. Want zero price exposure on your spending balance? Use USDT or USDC. See the exact top-up addresses and current fees for each coin in your own dashboard.
